The West Virginia Children’s Trust Fund helps community-based programs strengthen communities and families. We do this by helping to gather and maximize funding for these programs, by helping teams come together to design programs that work for their communities, and by providing ongoing training, networking, and technical support.
And it’s working.
During the past year, the Children’s Trust Fund provided over $350,000 in support for local child abuse prevention efforts in communities throughout the state. Children’s Trust Fund grants supported 33 local Partners in Prevention teams, 5 large-scale Innovation Grants and 10 Good Beginnings Mini-Grants.
Together these programs:
Provided face-to-face services or training to over 40,000 West Virginians including children, parents, staff and citizens;
Distributed more than 50,000 copies of educational materials to parents, professionals and the public;
Leveraged over $200,000 in private support for local child abuse prevention efforts.

"I am starting to create hope. I have parents who feel better about themselves and therefore about their children. We create a better future by helping people to value themselves and their children. We add value."
